FinTech Consult is pleased to have published its most recent research report on the Hong Kong FinTech ecosystem, produced in close partnership with the FinTech Association of Hong Kong (FTAHK).

The Hong Kong FinTech ecosystem now comprises approximately 500 active companies. The top verticals are Blockchain & Digital Assets, Payment & Remittance, and Crypto. Despite a tighter funding environment globally, the Hong Kong ecosystem has remained broadly resilient, with government support playing a key role in maintaining momentum.

Hong Kong continues to serve as a springboard to 1.4 billion mainland Chinese consumers — a structural advantage no other financial center can replicate. The government's proactive approach to virtual asset regulation, including the introduction of a new VASP licensing regime, has positioned Hong Kong as one of the most credible global hubs for regulated digital asset businesses.
